Year 7 Literacy & Numeracy Funding

Year 7 literacy and numeracy catch-up premium gives schools additional funding to support Year 7 students who did not achieve at least level 4 in reading and/or maths at the end of key stage 2.
Data gathered at the Autumn Term census and provisional results from the national curriculum assessments at KS2 is used to formulate the funding figure using a figure of £500 for each eligible student. The allocation for academic year 2015/16 (received March 2016) was £22,000. A similar figure is anticipated in 2016-17.

Contribution to costs for Leading Practitioner – Maths 38,000
Employment of 2 x Literacy & Numeracy TA2 to develop reading, writing and mathematical skills 36,500
