Grassington Field Trip

The students investigated how tourism has both positive and negative impacts on the economy. They carried out fieldwork which included surveying tourist attractions and completing a land use map in the village. They also completed environmental quality surveys, recorded shopper counts and interviewed both local residents and tourists.

When MHCC Bet BBC Re. WW1

Catherine Stirk from the BBC met with the WW1 group; Lynne Blackburn from Participation Works and Miss Ferguson to talk about this year’s Festival of Remembrance. The BBC and the Royal British Legion would like the group to speak live at this year’s event, in front of the Royal family

Imperial War Museum Visit

Business Studies students visited the Imperial War Museum in Manchester to help give them context for their Controlled Assessment where they are required to design a graphic that would be printed on a mug to commemorate the end of World War 1.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. We ask people all over the UK to host their own Coffee Mornings and donations on the day are made to Macmillan.
